Last week I seemed to do a lot of teaching, at Hebden Bridge and at the Bramble Patch.
All new courses and, as with all new courses, a challenge.
At Bramble Patch I taught a Photo to Stitch Class – it is something I have wanted to do for ages as some of my recent quilts are taken directly from my photos
I love being able to use some of the apps available nowadays to make thing easy for us
Here are some of the results from the class
I received a lovely box of goodies from Clover this week
Ages ago I posted some pictures of some new quilts I made for some teaching in 2019. I can now say what they were for
I have been asked to teach on a cruise going to Hawaii.
Check it out on worldofquiltstravel.com
With lots of samples to make quickly I googled Hawaiian patterns and loads of images came up (not quilts) but black and white patterns. They are large scale designs. I made mine 4″ square.
I made my samples using one of my Interchange Applique methods.
Today I received a very pleasant email that I was infringing copyright by using one of the designs – I am, and all I can do is apologise to the company and admit I was wrong to do this.
The patterns are available from Connie below
On the class we will cut our own from paper or I will encourage students to buy the designs from the company.
I’ve had a look at Connie’s designs and they are fabulous.
I will certainly buy some of her patterns
I have been working on some new ideas for a weaving for quilters class
Here is a small wall hanging I have just made
It is woven using batik fabrics
More sampling needed
Hours more work….
