Some weeks are a lot of fun and I feel so lucky to have been surrounded so many lovely people.
This week we have been at Willersley Castle where I ran a residential class. Many of the students returned for another week and it was lovely to see them again.
We had good weather and Derbyshire looked beautiful. Cromford is such a great place to go walking from.
This was the view from my room window.
The book shop in the village!
With early morning walks and swims, and afternoon walks with some of the students we managed to do quite a lot of steps each day (just as well as we had some great food)
We played the textile traders dice game one evening which was fun. Thanks to Deb from World of quilts travel for introducing me to the game. No one looks like they are laughing but trust me – we were!
Here are some photos of some of the samples/ quilts they were making.
Thanks to Aurifil for providing me with the threads for the class.
I then went on to teach at Needle and Thread Workshops near Lincoln
Thanks to all my students for making it such a fun week, and for the company on our long walks in the afternoon
Looking forward to next year
Just one photo…everyone looks like they are working hard
Not much of my own work done in the last couple of weeks apart from a couple of small Journal Quilt sized quilts based on photos I took in Italy
