The week has passed so quickly, with no teaching this week I had a plan to finish a couple of quilts and start a couple more.
Here are the results of time in my studio.
These 3 are A2 in size and will be part of my Freedom series for Voyage Group
They are all based on photos I took whilst in Uzbekistan in the summer. They are all examples / samples for a new workshop I am planning, either how to go from photo to quilt (my way) or how to cheat at drawing and painting. More planning required
Door knocker in Bokhara
Plates in Bokhara
This one is not finished
Art museum in Nukus
They are painted with a little applique, and machine stitched
This next one is 11″ square and is based on photos taken in a shop in Italy
Washing in Italy 11″ square (unfinished)
Time in my studio has been interspersed with a walk with a friend over to Marsden and a few Body Combat classes ( I feel too old for the mountain climbers and berpes in the new routine but the rest is good).
It looks mad but it is great fun!
