We all have our different ways of dealing with grief, or even just difficult times. I do like to think positively and try to do things that will keep me busy, make me happy, everyone that knows me, will know that a walk in the sunshine with my family or good friends does just that.
Doing something creative is the same, and I love to try out new techniques, and make new pieces of work. I wanted to make a new large piece of work to display in Australia. I wanted to show that I am more than just a quilter/ teacher who makes quilts.
The quilts will be displayed as a group of 4
Some people talk about loss that can tear the family apart but I feel it has brought us all closer together. It has also brought so many lovely people in to our lives.
I have made 3 new quilts, the fourth and the hardest is still on going and I want to post images of my last one in the series next week.
They are all 80cm x 95cm with a painted background, fused and appliqued using cotton fabrics with machine stitching
I have called them
Wear your heart on your sleeve/ quilt
